Below are the updated standings and records. My assistant Matt Vinal and I have decided that we will reward points for wins and ties to clear up the standings. A team will earn two points for a win, one point for a tie, and zero points for a loss. This really will clear up any confusion on dealing with ties.  Three more precious weeks of regular season play then we head into the playoffs.

As I am writing this email it is currently raining outside. We enjoyed another stellar day today at Serra High School. There was a lot of movement in all divisions! Below please check out the most current standings, print them, and put them on your refrigerator. Game 5 is regular times next week. Many of you have seen Carol Erdie (Mother of Joey Erdie, Serra Varsity QB and NL Flag Coach) snapping pictures out on the field. Carol has been posting these pictures to the NL Facebook page. There was some movement as teams gained their first victories of the season, while others remained undefeated. I loved seeing the intensity and the passion from the players and the fans! In addition, there is a 70% rain forecast for this Sunday. I am going to get the Pre-K and Kindergarten kids out of the rain. We will be practicing indoors with Pre-K and Kindergarten. The rest of the league will play games this Sunday. There will be no rain outs!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I saw beauty all day today when I saw our boys smiling on the field, competing, running after the ball, and scoring touchdowns. There were stars all over the field today from Pre-K through our 4th/5th Division. I was so proud and honored to be a part of such a great community today! Parents and kids thanks for your support and thank you for making Next Level the best Flag League in the Bay! Go Niners!

Next Sunday is a very special day for the Bay Area, the Niners, are 60 minutes away from a Super Bowl appearance. I may make minor adjustments to the schedule but we will be playing football next Sunday. Please stay tuned and please check the blog on a regular basis!
